If the “Add to Cart” button is replaced by an "On Hold" button, either the item has already been sold or I've put it on hold for a specific reason. If you see “On Hold” for a number of items in my store, it means that I am on vacation and the store has been deactivated until I return.
To purchase an item, find the item you wish to purchase either by navigating the categories or by using the search form. Once you have located the item you wish to purchase, click the "photo or title" to view more details. After you have added all the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart, click the Checkout button. You will be asked to fill in your shipping address information. Click the Continue button and select your payment method from the left side of the page. You will also have the option to add any other information you feel is necessary. Review your order details and click the Submit Order button to complete the order process. If you selected PayPal as the payment type, you will be redirected to PayPal to complete the checkout process. Once the order is successfully placed, you will be presented with a confirmation screen. You are then done and your order has been received.
Educational Explorers accepts the following payment methods: PAYPAL, USPS MONEY ORDER, CASHIER’S CHECK, PERSONAL CHECK
PayPal orders will be processed within the first 48 hours after payment is received (with the exception of holidays). After processing, orders will be shipped the next business day. For those paying by USPS Money Order, Cashier’s Check, or Personal Check, orders will be processed after your full payment has been received and it has cleared the United States Post Office (for USPS Money Orders) or the bank (for Cashier’s Check or Personal Check). This can take anywhere from 7-10 business days. After processing, orders will be shipped the next business day.
Yes. Everything is balanced by a weight based system and will be combined automatically during checkout.
Educational Explorers ships items using the United States Postal Service (USPS).
Educational Explorers ships worldwide with the exception of the following: Afghanistan, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bolivia, Burma, Congo, Cuba, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast (Cote d'Ivoire), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Moldova, Nigeria, North Korea, Paraguay, Russia, Russian Federation, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Venezuela. I follow the Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service. I will only ship an item if it is accepted according to international policies. For items 4lbs (1.8 kg) or less, Educational Explorers uses the First-Class Package International Service for the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, and Switzerland. For all other countries, Priority Mail International Service is used as it is the only way to track your shipment. This service is also used for the countries listed above if the item you are purchasing weights more than 4lbs (1.8 kg).
PayPal should automatically send out an email with tracking number and order details. Educational Explorers will also send you an email with shipping confirmation and tracking number. If you did not receive either one of these emails, then it could be due to the mail being flagged as spam by your email client. If by any chance the emails are unrecoverable, I can send you any information needed.
If you paid for USPS insurance you will receive a full refund after I have filed an insurance claim. If you did not pay for insurance and the USPS loses or damages your item, I can’t be held responsible.
If the item has not been packaged and the shipping label has not been created, I will cancel and give a full refund. I ship my items fairly quickly so most of the time I cannot cancel an order.
Shipping for the US Mainland, Alaska, and Hawaii is a flat rate and can be found in each listing. If shipping seems high to you, please send me your zip code and I will check vs the weight of the item. I usually have a dollar padded into each quote to take care of handling/supplies/etc. International orders are calculated. Click on “more destinations” to check the shipping rate for your country.
Yes, returns are accepted for all items with the exception of the following: 1) Returns are not accepted for any item that specifically states “Returns not accepted for this item” 2) Returns are not accepted for any item that is being sold in “As is” condition. I am not responsible for any non-working items that were bought "As-is". Please see Terms of Service page for full return policy.
If an item is defective upon arrival, please contact me right away with a complete description. Please include pictures or any other information to provide me with a solid backing on your claim. You will need to contact me within three days of receiving the defective item in order to take advantage of this refund. I will include return shipping as well.
As a rule it is within 24 to 48 hours.
